1. Arkansas History Hub Resources
The Arkansas History Hub is reliant upon the cooperation and generosity of individuals and institutions who choose to contribute to the Hub. The Hub is not designed to earn profit or benefit from the work of others, rather it exists to more effectively distribute the work of others and to promote the teaching (and learning) of Arkansas history.
- The Arkansas History Hub is first and foremost a repository of resources generated by individuals and institutions. By posting links to or sharing the information generated by others, the Hub does not claim any intellectual ownership or responsibility to those resources or their content. These resources continue to be owned by their authors and the Hub will not distribute or exchange this content for profit.
- The Hub will not distribute resources without permission from the owner. If you feel as though we have violated your rights, we encourage you to contact us and we will work to quickly resolve the matter.
2. Sharing Your Content
Any content you choose to share on the Hub continues to be owned and maintained by you.
- For content that is covered by intellectual property rights, such as documents that you choose to upload to the Hub and share with other users, the Hub has the right to distribute or share this content. If you choose to terminate your account with the Hub, the Hub forfeits any rights to content shared directly through your profile. In the event that you have shared content with groups or other individuals, the Hub is under no obligation to remove this content, as you were under no obligation to share it. We encourage users to remove content from groups, links, and other platforms beyond their profile if they do not wish for it to continue to be available on the Hub indefinitely.
- When you delete your content, it is deleted from the publicly displayed portion of the site, however this content will continue to exist for a period of time in back-ups. The Hub maintains rights to back-up and/or recovery data so long as it is crucial to the security of the site.
- When you post or share content to the Hub in which ‘everyone’ can see it, these users also have the right to share your content and associate you name and profile with such content. However, users do not have the right to distribute or publish content authored by other users for profit.
