Description
The Potts Inn Museum is an 1850′s stage coach stop on the historic Butterfield Stage Coach Route which ran through the Arkansas River Valley, from Memphis to Ft. Smith. As the only remaining inn on the route, Potts Inn Museum welcomes visitors on tours and field trips.
Of the original 14 buildings on the site, four remain: the inn, barn, smokehouse, and wellhouse. In addition to those buildings, several cabins have been moved on-site to provide additional museum space.
Visitors will see what it was like to live and travel in the 1850′s by visiting the Inn, doctor’s office, hat and clothing museum, barn full of farming implements, and the collection of First Ladies’ Inaugural Gowns-both First Ladies of Arkansas and of the Nation!
