| This supplemental activity is designed to accompany the “Arkansas Cities Riddles” teaching tool provided by the Secretary of State’s office while incorporating Common Core State Standards with Arkansas History Content. Utilization of the online Encyclopedia of Arkansas History & Culture (EOA), at www.encyclopediaofarkansas.net, is also part of the activity. Fifth-grade teachers may wish to use the teaching tool, which may be downloaded from the Arkansas History Hub, titled “Notable People in the Civil War PowerPoint” provided by the Department of Arkansas Heritage. |
