About

Mission:

The mission of the Arkansas History Hub is to improve the quality of Arkansas history education across the state by providing comprehensive access to online resources, as well as facilitating the open exchange of ideas and materials between teachers, institutions and history professionals.

Values:

  • Knowledge and understanding of Arkansas history is a vital component in the education of Arkansas’s children.
  • A well-rounded understanding of one’s heritage has significant, and often immeasurable, positive social and economic effects.
  • Improving the efficiency of exchange between teachers and the institutions tasked with aiding their efforts will result in a better educational experience in and out of the classroom.
  • While museums and history institutions across the state are invaluable resources for teachers, the work of other teachers and the teaching community itself is far and away the greatest asset to Arkansas history education.
  • Facilitating the digital exchange of resources and ideas through one central hub will dramatically improve the quality and breadth of this exchange.
